Rogers wanted to reward their subscribers for choosing Rogers and create a stronger value-proposition for youth. So The Hive created a hub for the Rogers music platform where digital tracks and ringtones from the Rogers urMusic.ca music store came into contact with the live music offered through Rogers Live Nation and MTV content and sponsorship deals. But, of course young people don’t just listen to and research music. They talk about music, they write about music, they eat, sleep and breathe music.
Enter Rogers urMusic Facebook program. By offering VIP tickets to shows that kids wanted to see, and even opportunities to meet artists, The Hive created a thriving community of fully-engaged Facebook fans who post up to 100 comments a day and who upload pictures, tag each other and write reviews of shows.
Currently the urMusic Facebook fan page has more than 24,000 extremely active fans and the page is now has become a natural base for launching conversations around new offerings like Wireless Box Office.
